The Folie des Visites is a bright red, cubic structure punctuating the landscape of the Parc de la Villette in the nineteenth arrondissement. It is one of twenty-six similar buildings designed by architect Bernard Tschumi when the park was created in the nineteen eighties on the site of former municipal slaughterhouses. Each of these structures is defined by a ten-point-eight-meter square base, yet they serve varied purposes across the fifty-five-hectare grounds.
