La Géode is a mirror-finished geodesic dome that rises above the landscape of Parc de la Villette. Composed of six thousand four hundred thirty-three polished stainless steel triangles, the sphere functions as a giant convex mirror, capturing the sky and the surrounding park in its surface. Architect Adrien Fainsilber and engineer Gérard Chamayou designed the structure, which opened to the public in nineteen eighty-five.
