General Louis de Maud'huy is recognized by his final resting place within the Hôtel national des Invalides, a massive military complex in the seventh arrondissement defined by its high, gold-leafed dome. While the site is a museum and memorial for many French figures, it also houses the remains of those who, like Maud'huy, served as high-ranking military leaders during the First World War.
