Square Boucicaut

landmark

Square Boucicaut is a public garden defined by a white marble statue of two women seated together, surrounded by mature trees that shade its winding paths. Created in eighteen seventy and originally named Square du Bon-Marché, the park occupies a site that once held a leper hospital and later a hospice for the elderly. It sits directly across from Le Bon Marché, the department store established by Aristide Boucicaut.
