Musée de la Franc-Maçonnerie

The Musée de la Franc-Maçonnerie is housed within the headquarters of the Grand Orient de France at sixteen rue Cadet, marked by a modern building from the nineteen seventies designed with an L-shaped footprint. Its facade on the street is almost entirely windowless, featuring vertical curved elements and a cornice punctured by rhythmic circles. This site serves as the central repository for the history of French Freemasonry, displaying items that range from ritual aprons and swords to rare manuscripts and eighteenth-century earthenware.
