The Église de la Sainte-Trinité is distinguished by its sixty-five-meter-tall bell tower, which rises prominently above the surrounding neighborhood of the Chaussée d'Antin. Built between eighteen sixty-one and eighteen sixty-seven under the direction of architect Théodore Ballu, this Roman Catholic church was a key feature of the large-scale urban modernization projects led by Baron Haussmann. Its design reflects the eclectic Neo-Renaissance style favored during the Second Empire, intended to provide a monumental visual anchor at the end of the rue de la Chaussée d'Antin.
