Square Léon

Square Léon is marked by the sprawling, colorful murals painted along the four walls that enclose the garden. Located at the highest point of the Goutte d'Or neighborhood, this space occupies the former summit of the Butte des Moulins. Centuries ago, this hill held five plaster mills that processed the gypsum found deep in the local soil.
