La France Renaissante

The bronze equestrian statue known as La France Renaissante stands at the northern tip of the Île aux Cygnes, tucked beneath the iron arches of the Pont de Bir-Hakeim. It depicts a female warrior in chainmail and a helmet with a halo, seated on a galloping horse with her sword held forward. The sculptor, Holger Wederkinch, completed the work in nineteen thirty as a gift to Paris from the Danish community.
