L'heure de tous

A vertical bronze column composed of dozens of stacked clock faces stands in the Cour du Havre, directly before the entrance to the Gare Saint-Lazare. This sculpture, created in nineteen eighty-five by the French artist Arman, is known as L'Heure de tous, or Everyone's Time. It is part of a pair of monumental works commissioned by the French state to integrate contemporary art into public transit hubs, with its counterpart, Consigne à vie, featuring a similar accumulation of luggage in the nearby Cour de Rome.
