Square Saint-Médard

Square Saint-Médard sits at the southern end of the Rue Mouffetard, marked by its position directly beside the Gothic architecture of the Church of Saint-Médard. Today, this peaceful public garden offers benches and a play area, but in the eighteenth century, the site was a cemetery that became the center of a volatile religious controversy.
