Cabaret du Ciel

The Cabaret du Ciel, or Cabaret of Heaven, once stood at fifty-three Boulevard de Clichy as a surreal landmark of Belle Époque Paris. Visitors identified the venue by a bright facade painted in white and blue, adorned with stars and sculptures of cherubs. It operated as a themed environment where the mundane world vanished, replaced by an ethereal recreation of paradise. Inside, guests were greeted by actors dressed as angels and saints, while the master of ceremonies, often costumed as Saint Peter, sprinkled them with holy water.
