Romans' Northern Gate

The Romans' Northern Gate stands as a single, weathered stone arch on Kardinal-Höffner-Platz, positioned near the western facade of the Cologne Cathedral. This structure is a surviving side passage of a much larger, triple-arched Roman gateway that originally served as the main entrance to the city of Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium in the first century AD.
