Beneath the pavement of the Rathausplatz in Cologne, the MiQua houses an excavation site that spans two thousand years of urban history. This museum connects a sprawling subterranean tour—six hundred meters long—that winds through the foundations of the Roman governor's palace, known as the Praetorium, and the remains of a medieval Jewish quarter.
