Marine Drive is a three point six kilometer arc of concrete promenade curving along the Arabian Sea. It is recognizable by the line of streetlights that, when viewed from an elevated point at night, resemble a string of pearls, earning it the name the Queen’s Necklace. While it is a primary transit route connecting Nariman Point to the foot of Malabar Hill, it is also a public space where the city’s dense urban fabric meets the water.
