Banaji Limji Agiary

The Banaji Limji Agiary is the oldest surviving Zoroastrian fire temple in Mumbai. You can identify the building by its fortress-like exterior facade, which stands apart from the surrounding district. It was established in seventeen oh nine by a Parsi trader named Seth Banaji Limji. The temple houses a sacred fire that originated from a lightning strike and was kept by a priest in Kolkata for two years before being transported to the city.
