Elphinstone College is recognizable by its expansive, Grade One heritage building designed in the Gothic Revival style. Completed in eighteen eighty-eight under the supervision of Khan Bahadur Muncherjee Murzban, the structure features the intricate stonework and pointed arches typical of the Victorian era's public architecture in Mumbai. The building stands in the Kala Ghoda precinct, positioned near the David Sassoon Library and the Jehangir Art Gallery.
