The Old Custom House is a two-story stone building situated in the historic Fort area of Mumbai. Constructed by the British East India Company between seventeen ten and seventeen fourteen, it once functioned as the primary center for the city's maritime trade operations. The building housed various departments including the imperial opium office, port health, and the King’s warehouse, where gold and other valuable cargo were stored for safe custody.
