The Royal Bombay Yacht Club features a blend of English neo-Gothic design and Tudor half-timbered detailing. It was founded in eighteen forty-six with Henry Morland serving as the first commodore. The club received its royal title in eighteen seventy-six under the patronage of Queen Victoria. John Adams designed the residential chambers, which were completed in eighteen ninety-six near the Apollo Bunder waterfront.
