The Armenian Church of Shiraz, also known as the Holy Mary Church, is marked by a rectangular exterior that gives no immediate sign of its sacred purpose. While the building presents a plain face to the Sang-e Siyah neighborhood, it contains a dome-shaped interior hall that remains one of the more artistic examples of seventeenth-century construction in the city.
