The Khan School is recognizable by its expansive inner courtyard and a series of great arched openings adorned with intricate mosaic tiling. Constructed in the early seventeenth century under the Safavid dynasty, the building was commissioned by the governor of Fars, Allah Verdi Khan, and completed by his son, Imam Qoli Khan. The school features a traditional four-porch layout, with chambers arranged across two floors.
