Christ Church, located just inside the Jaffa Gate, is the oldest Protestant church building in the Middle East. You can distinguish it by its lack of external Christian symbols, a design choice intended to mirror the appearance of a synagogue. Completed in eighteen forty-nine, the building features Neo-Gothic architecture and faces the Temple Mount, reflecting the founders' focus on the Jewish roots of their faith.
