The Jewish Cemetery of Fez, known as Beit HaChaim, is defined by thousands of white, half-cylindrical tombs that terrace across a hillside at the southern edge of the Mellah. This expansive burial ground, which holds approximately twenty-two thousand graves, serves as the final resting place for a community that has shaped the city for centuries.
