The Al Batha Museum of Islamic Arts occupies a nineteenth-century royal palace distinguished by its vast, central rectangular courtyard and serene Andalusian-style garden. Commissioned by Sultan Hassan I and completed under his successor, Sultan Abdelaziz, the palace was designed with expansive horseshoe arches, intricate zellij mosaic tilework, and carved cedarwood. Its layout reflects the quiet, ornate character of a residence once intended for royal receptions and summer hospitality.
