The Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II is recognizable by its large, green pyramidal roof and a tall, polychrome minaret rising above the dense network of alleys in Fes el-Bali. This site is dedicated to the man traditionally honored as the founder and patron saint of the city, who ruled Morocco from eight hundred seven to eight hundred twenty-eight.
