Henna Souk and pottery

The Henna Souk is a small, shaded square in the heart of the Fez medina, identifiable by the two massive, gnarled plane trees growing in its center. Stalls line the perimeter of the square, offering henna powder, kohl, and traditional cosmetic herbs. Ceramic shops clustered along the pathways leading to the square display Fassi pottery, frequently finished in the distinct blue-and-white hues characteristic of the region.
