The Nejjarine Fountain is identifiable by its elaborate, recessed horseshoe arch, which is framed by intricate, colorful zellij tilework and capped by a large, carved wooden canopy. Located in the heart of the Fes el-Bali medina, this fountain was commissioned in the nineteenth century by Sultan Abd al-Rahman to provide water for the many travelers and traders visiting the city.
