Borj Sud is a historic fort positioned on the hills overlooking the old city of Fez from the south. It is characterized by its simple square structure and elevated location, which offers a clear view of the sprawling medina below. The fort was first established in fifteen eighty-two by the Saadian sultan Ahmad al-Mansur.
