King's Parade

King’s Parade is a thoroughfare in central Cambridge defined by the towering, fan-vaulted stone of King’s College Chapel along its western edge. This street, once known as the High Street, has functioned as a central artery for the city for centuries. While the college buildings maintain a constant presence, the street itself has shifted and evolved, with the removal of medieval houses in the eighteen-thirties and eighteen-seventies to accommodate college expansions.
