The Pitt Building on Trumpington Street is frequently mistaken for a church or a museum by visitors. This confusion stems from its appearance, which leads many new students to call it the fresher's church. It was actually commissioned to honor William Pitt the Younger, a Pembroke College graduate who became Britain's youngest prime minister at twenty-four.
