Brunswick Square

Brunswick Square is defined by its sweeping, unified terraces of grand Regency townhouses, featuring stucco facades, ornamental balconies, and iron railings. Constructed between eighteen twenty-five and eighteen forty-two, the square was designed by architect Charles Busby to provide high-class housing for wealthy residents. It sits on what was once a dreary brickyard, once described by locals as a landscape of ruinous sheds and smoldering kilns.
