Brighton Fishing Museum

The Brighton Fishing Museum occupies two Victorian-era arches along the King's Road seafront. These stone-walled spaces, built in the eighteen sixties, have hosted the local fishing community for generations, providing shelter for nets and equipment while standing directly on the beach. Today, the museum serves as a repository for the town's origins as Brighthelmstone, a fishing settlement that existed for over a thousand years before the Regency-era transformation turned it into a fashionable seaside resort.
