Brighton Town Hall

Brighton Town Hall is a massive Greek Revival building on Bartholomew Square, identifiable by its imposing four-storey porticos featuring Doric columns on the ground floor and Ionic columns above. Designed by Thomas Cooper and opened in eighteen thirty-two, it was intended to be shaped like a cross, but construction funds ran out and left the building in its current T-shaped layout.
