The Randolph Hotel Oxford, a Graduate by Hilton

The Randolph Hotel is marked by its Victorian Gothic facade and brick construction, standing on Beaumont Street directly across from the Ashmolean Museum. Built in eighteen sixty-four to a design by William Wilkinson, the hotel was created to provide high-end lodging for distinguished visitors expected for a royal tour. It is named after Doctor Francis Randolph, an eighteenth-century benefactor whose gift funded the university galleries that eventually became the neighboring museum.
