Former Warner/Pacific Theater

The Warner Brothers Theatre, later known as the Hollywood Pacific, occupies a prominent corner at Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue. Designed by G. Albert Lansburgh and opened in April nineteen twenty-eight, the building was the first in Hollywood created specifically to showcase Vitaphone talking pictures. Its original auditorium seated over twenty-seven hundred people and featured a four-manual Marr and Colton pipe organ, relocated from a theater in New York City. The structure also housed radio station KFWB, whose call letters stood for Keep Filming Warner Brothers, with transmitter towers once mounted on the roof.
