The Villa Bonita is a seven-story residential building defined by its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, marked by cascading ivy that frames casement windows and fire escapes. Designed by architect Frank Webster and completed in nineteen twenty-nine, the building was constructed for the cast and crew of director Cecil B. DeMille. Its marble-floored lobby and vintage elevator served as a home for entertainment industry figures during Hollywood’s early sound film period, including Errol Flynn and Francis Ford Coppola.
