Otto Bollman House by Lloyd Wright

The Otto Bollman House is a residence constructed between nineteen twenty and nineteen twenty-one, marked by a distinctive ribbon of cast concrete blocks along the top of its otherwise smooth, flat walls. Designed by Lloyd Wright, the house was a departure from the conventional styles popular in Los Angeles at the time. Its creator used this project to experiment with decorative concrete elements, a technique that would later become a defining feature of the textile-block homes popularized by his father, Frank Lloyd Wright.
