P-22 MURAL

This mural features a massive, detailed image of the mountain lion known as P-22, painted prominently on a brick wall. P-22 gained international fame after he was first documented in Griffith Park in twenty-twelve, having navigated a perilous twenty-mile journey from the Santa Monica Mountains by crossing two major freeways, the four-oh-five and the one-oh-one. For over a decade, he lived as a solitary resident within the nine square miles of the park, becoming an unexpected symbol of urban wildlife conservation.
