The You Are the Star mural occupies the southeast wall of a building at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue. It portrays a crowded movie theater from the perspective of the screen, with dozens of legendary film stars sitting in the audience and looking directly toward the viewer. Among the figures gathered in the theater are Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, James Dean, and Shirley Temple, who appears on the lap of W. C. Fields.
