Counterculture Museum

The Counterculture Museum occupies the ground floor of a three-story historic Victorian building at the corner of Haight and Ashbury streets. Opened in May twenty twenty-five, the museum is dedicated to the social movements that reshaped American consciousness during the nineteen sixties. It features rare original documents, posters, and artifacts documenting the countercultural revolution, including exhibits on the Civil Rights Movement, LGBTQ plus liberation, and the anti-war protests that centered in this neighborhood.
