This organization holds the distinction of being the oldest Croatian society in the United States, tracing its roots back to a gathering of immigrants from the Dalmatian coast in eighteen fifty-seven. While the society began as a fraternal group for miners and fishermen, it eventually shifted its focus toward preserving traditional performing arts and Slavic culture.
