The North End Police Station and its matching garage stand out for their smooth walls, ceramic tile roofs, and arched entries, appearing more like a private residence than a municipal facility. Built in nineteen twelve, this Spanish Colonial Revival complex was designed by city architect Alfred I. Coffey to serve the nearby Panama-Pacific International Exposition of nineteen fifteen.
