Admission Day Monument

The Admission Day Monument is defined by a tall, Doric marble column topped with a winged bronze figure of a woman holding an open book. At the base of this column, a bronze statue of a young miner lunges forward, waving an American flag with one hand and carrying a pickaxe over his shoulder.
