Fuchsia Dell Sundial

The Fuchsia Dell in Golden Gate Park is a quiet, grassy hillside meadow defined by a brass sundial mounted on a low masonry pedestal in its center. The dell was established in nineteen forty, and its pathways are lined with various fuchsia varieties that bloom from May through November. Engraved on the brass face of the sundial is the phrase, "Amidst the flowers I tell the hours."
