Millwright Cottage

The Millwright Cottage stands as a two-story brick residence with a slate-covered pitched roof and side-facing gables, positioned near the western edge of Golden Gate Park. Designed by the Reid Brothers, the cottage was completed around nineteen ten to house the keeper of the adjacent Murphy Windmill. The keeper’s primary duties involved oiling the windmill's heavy bearings and shutting down the machinery during periods of high wind.
