Golden Gate Park Polo Field

The Polo Field is a large, open-air athletic oval defined by a three-quarter-mile dirt track that encircles a wide, grassy interior. You can identify the space by its expansive, flat layout and the rows of wooden bleachers that line its north and south sides. Originally known as the Golden Gate Park Stadium, the site was inaugurated on July fourth, nineteen oh six, just months after the city was devastated by the great earthquake and fire.
