George Washington High School (San Francisco)

George Washington High School occupies the highest ground in the Richmond District, its red-brick architecture modeled after the Virginia estate of the nation's first president. Designed by Timothy Pflueger and opened in nineteen thirty-six, the campus overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge from its athletic fields, and the bridge is featured on the school crest.
