Lands End Trail Eagles Point

Eagles Point is a prominent overlook along the Lands End Trail, perched on the windswept northwestern cliffs of San Francisco where the Pacific Ocean meets the Golden Gate. You can identify this area by the expansive vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands that open up as the trail emerges from dense, mature groves of Monterey cypress and eucalyptus. These trees were originally planted in the eighteen eighties and nineties as windbreaks for the surrounding estates.
