Fort Miley Military Reservation sits atop Point Lobos, a rugged headland overlooking the southern entrance to the Golden Gate. You can identify the site by the remnants of massive, concrete gun batteries that edge the perimeter, now integrated into the grounds of the San Francisco Veterans Administration Medical Center.
