The three-story building at fifteen twenty-four Haight Street is recognizable by its bright red facade, a color chosen to commemorate a local legend. For decades, the property has been popularly known as the Jimi Hendrix Red House, with many claiming the guitarist lived in a ground-floor apartment here during the nineteen sixties. A mural of the musician, painted by artist Sean Griffin in twenty twenty-two, often adorns the exterior wall.
