Statue of Carlos III

The bronze statue of King Carlos III is a full-length figure dressed in eighteenth-century royal regalia, identifiable by the monarch's robes and the Order of the Golden Fleece hanging at his chest. Created by the Spanish sculptor Federico Coullaut-Valera, the monument was a gift to San Francisco from the government of Spain in nineteen seventy-six to honor the city's bicentennial.
